Information for suppliers regarding infection control

Dear Sir or Madam,

We herewith would like to inform you about SCHLENK's taken actions regarding the worldwide spread of the coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2). Aim of these measures is protecting our employees and ensuring of our supply chain, production and supply capability at the usual high level. We assume to the same extent that you, for your part, will take every effort to avoid supply bottlenecks in your supply chain. Please let us know if any other development becomes apparent.

With regard to transportation handling we have installed following infection protection measures:

  • In the case of deliveries, especially by trucks from the affected crisis areas, care must be taken to ensure that the unloading and loading is specially protected. For this reason, disinfectant is issued for truck drivers, which has to be used.

  • Temporary stricter regulations apply for accessing office buildings as well as factory premises for on-site.-services. These include above all thorough hand hygiene. Surface and hand disinfection dispensers are available.

  • In addition, our own employees are requested to avoid contact with suppliers as far as possible - especially in the case of deliveries from affected crisis areas. This includes the avoidance of handshakes and keeping a distance of two meters to other person.

  • In addition, no visits by employees of suppliers will take place until further notice. Please use digital solutions or phone calls instead.

Furthermore, all SCHLENK employees are currently instructed not to travel to the crisis regions affected by the spread of the coronavirus and to avoid personal contact with anyone from these regions. In this respect we follow the recommendations of the Robert Koch Institute.
Any non-essential business trips are currently prohibited.

We assure you that we at SCHLENK are paying the highest attention to this situation and all our efforts are directed towards the best possible cooperation with our partners in order to keep the impacts of the coronavirus as small as possible on our customers and our employees.

Yours faithfully
General Management
